My working proposal makes orthodox use of photography to represent teaching spaces, specifically university lecture rooms. I was drawn to these spaces because of the many hours I spent in them at primary school, secondary school and finally university. This series is made up of a representative sample of lecture rooms in different departments at Catalan universities. The project takes a realistic approach to photographing these specific teaching spaces. The photographs of the spaces in this series are designed to make us think about issues such as how these spaces are designed, what they have in common with earlier religious spaces and what the dominant model for transmitting knowledge is.
