Spaces for memory
The action consisted to enlarging some old pictures (dated between 1920 and 1980), a town in the province of Barcelona, in a circuit of 16 billboards rented for the occasion. The purpose was to contrast the same spaces with a significant time lag and show the transformation the town has undergone; the sudden appearance of a recent past, confrontation of the town with its past through a photography. The revival of images buried in the archives and the challenge to the conventional use of advertising spaces. The pictures were ceded by the municipal archives of Granollers and the known authors are: Pere Pagès, Josep Nogués, Lluís Tintó, Joan Anton Ballvé, Concepció Martí, Pere Espaulella and Joan Canal.
