Documentary collection that takes as its main motif the portraits of rulers in the plenary halls of the town halls of Catalonia. The purpose of the project is to suggest a reflection on the uses and power of this type of images, to account for the validity of the practice of the cult of personality through the physical image and to propose an organization of this branch of the imaginary of political power.
The Inventory has more than four hundred photographs classified by series and functions as a latent fund that is activated, totally or partially, depending on the moment and the context, adopting diverse strategies and forms to influence issues such as the use of the image as a strategy for the consolidation of power, the historical marginalization of women in political power or the different forms of response of the consistories in the face of the legislation of the image.
